Surgical procedure of the case described in Figure 1: (A) the superficial fibers of the mylohyoid muscle on the internal side of the lingual flap; (B) the coronal fibers of the muscle are carefully detached by a periodontal probe; (C) a 1:1 mixture of particulated autogenous bone and porcine-derived xenograft is placed into the occlusive titanium barrier previously prepared and sterilized; and (D) the device is fixed on the recipient site by means of self-tapping screws.
