Figure 5. Fifty-seven year-old female with left sided flaccid paralysis secondary to a pontine hemorrhagic stroke. The stroke affected the masseteric (trigeminal) nerve which was not available for transfer. She underwent facial to hypoglossal nerve transfer after 10 months of flaccid paralysis.
