The 14th Congress of the Chinese Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Doctors

The 14th Congress of the Chinese Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Doctors was held from July 28 to 30, 2017 in Beijing, China. Numerous well-known experts from China and abroad were invited to give special reports and host academic exchanges. More than 1000 top plastic surgeons from all over the world gathered at the National Convention Center to participate in this high-level event in the field of plastic and aesthetic research. This congress focused on the latest and most innovative frontier topics of plastic surgery, demonstrating new technologies and services in the field. It featured a number of professional forums on breast surgery, fat transplantation, minimally invasive and anti-aging procedures, laser surgery, scar treatment, craniofacial surgery, ocular plastics, rhinoplasty, plastic surgery, hand surgery, and hair transplantation.

Prof. Hua Jiang and Prof. Zhi-Qi Hu, associate editors of PAR, served as the conference’s vice presidents. Prof. Ning-Bei Yin, Prof. Bin Yang, and other PAR editorial board members were also invited. With enthusiasm for learning and communication, PAR editorial team members Rui-Rui Zhang (editor) and Smart Zhang (assistant editor) also attended to learn about the latest progress in the field and communicate with the PAR Editorial Board.

Prof. Raymund E Horch was invited to be an Associate Editor of PAR.

During the meeting, the PAR editorial team listened to the speech “Techniques in Facelift Surgery?” given by Raymund E Horch, director of Universitätsklinikum Erlangen, and communicated with Prof. Horch about technical progress in the field of facial rejuvenation. After describing the philosophy, features, and trends of PAR, the editorial team invited Prof. Horch to become an associate editor. Prof. Horch spoke highly of the PAR team's attitude and was pleased to accept the invitation and contribute to the journal’s development.

Prof. Hui-Feng Song was invited to be an Editorial Board member of PAR.

The presentation “Micro plastic of facial fat grafting: Progress and prevention of severe complications” by Prof. Hui-Feng Song, Director of the Plastic Reconstruction, Aesthetic, Burn, and Plastic Surgery Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of PLA General Hospital, garnered unanimous praise among experts. After recognizing the importance of minimally invasive in the field of plastic surgery, and learning that Prof. Song won outstanding achievements in this field, the PAR editorial team invited Prof. Song to be an Editorial Board member to provide scientific guidance on related articles. Professor Song spoke highly of PAR's contribution to plastic and aesthetic research, and then he accepted the invitation and said that he was willing to contribute to the development of the field.

The additions of Profs. Horch and Song have injected vitality into the PAR Editorial Board. With the strong support of new and existing board members, the PAR editorial team has confidence that they will bring together the world’s most outstanding researchers in the field to promote the development of plastic and aesthetic research. PAR will be a superb international academic journal in this cutting-edge field.
