Special Issue Introduction:

Rejuvenation of the periorbital region is often the first cosmetic surgery procedure in one’s life and one of the most popular and carried out procedure in aesthetic medicine. Eyelid surgeries are one of the TOP 5 plastic-aesthetic procedures in 2016. Yet in the last years new trends are outlined, such as the skin and muscle saving, muscle and fat augmentation belapharoplasty, periorbital fat sculpture, canthopexy and canthoplasty, minimal skin pinch excision blepharoplasty and maximal reconstructions with midface corrections.
We have outlined some hot topics according to these outlines for the topic, “Blepharoplasty and Periorbital Rejuvenation” and will to find out the newest methods of the experts to answer the challenges of modern reconstructive aesthetic rejuvenations in the peri-orbital region as follows. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
      Principles and techniques for volume restoration of the orbita and periorbicular region by fat augmentation
      Blepharoplasty with orbicular muscle augmentation - the orbicular augmentation blepharoplasty
      Minimal invasiv approach by the lower lid blepharoplasty with transconjuchtival approach, pinch skin excision, canthopexy
